RIDEP
The Rural Initiatives Development Programme (RIDEP) is a registered indigenous Kenyan Community Based Organization (CBO) working with
rural communities in the Tharaka district of Kenya in order to improve food and livelihood security. RIDEP carry out this work by reviving ecological agricultural practices amongst communities and by encouraging and enabling communities to make the most of crops and resources available locally to them.
RIDEP's areas of work include:
- Mobilizing, organising and building the capacity of rural communities in order to improve food production, processing and marketing

Promoting environment and cultural biodiversity conservation including seed security.

Promoting the principles and practices of sustainable and organic agriculture

Promoting natural resource management through environmental protection and conservation and use of renewable energy
